Nick Krieger (@nckrieger):
Remember Kathy Gray's excellent article from April reporting that Governor Rick Snyder had promised to veto a Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) bill?
House Bills 4188, 4189, and 4190, the religious-objection adoption bills that Snyder signed this morning (now Public Acts 53, 54, and 55 of 2015), are very similar to a RFRA. In fact, these religious-objection adoption acts go even further than a standard RFRA because they authorize the expenditure of state funds on organizations that engage in willful discrimination.
Even if you hate gay people and those who practice a different religion, as you are entitled to do, what do you think about this kind of deceit by our Governor?
